Welcome to The Suffolk Land Rover Owners Club

  • The Suffolk Land Rover Owners Club is a motor club for anything Land Rover.  We are based at Newbourne near Woodbridge, Suffolk where we have our own site on which we host a monthly event throughout the year, together with additional events at other locations around the county of Suffolk, including:
    • regular meetings where members can drive the courses to hone their skills or to test out their latest modification to their vehicle,
    • a variety of regular competition events, ensuring there is ample opportunity for the novice to get involved and develop their skills.
  • This site has a range of courses to suit all levels of the Land Rover enthusiast’s ability and vehicle: Beginner (white), Intermediate (yellow) and Extreme (black) courses, together with a Woodland Course for something a bit more intricate.
  • As a Club we are proud of our safety record where we provide BORDA standard training for members who wish to qualify as marshals.  We aim to be a friendly Club where new members are given driving guidance around the courses and are encouraged to join our social activities.
  • Many members make a full weekend by camping, having been involved with a competition on Saturday and a regular driving day / event on the Sunday with Saturday night often becoming a social occasion.
  • The Club also attends county shows where members use their own vehicles to give rides to the public around purpose-built tracks.  This is a particularly rewarding activity for some of our members as the money raised enables the Club to support many local charities.
  • SLROC has donated over £100,000 over the years it has been involved with this activity.
  • The Club has an annual membership fee which goes towards our site rent and insurance.  For driving days and competitions, an additional entrance fee is charged.  The current rates are to be found on the Activities Page.
